August 10, 2013. Surpass 7.0 upgrade focuses on E-Book Integration. Surpass Software launched version 7.0 of its library automation packages with new features that focus on e-book integration. The upgrade also introduces dozens of features requested by users.


February 10, 2010. Surpass Software releases version 6 offering major update to OPAC. Surpass Software released version 6 of its suite of library automation products, bringing a brand new interface full of features to Surpass Safari, the company’s public access catalog for desktop and Web. Upgrades to version 6 are free for current users with a valid support subscription.

July 01, 2006. Surpass Software introduces a low-cost special edition of its award-winning library software exclusively for church libraries. Surpass introduces Surpass CL Church Library Edition, a streamlined library automation program that is easy to use and reasonably-priced for the church market at under $500. Surpass CL computerizes church library administration functions, cataloging, and circulation.


April 26, 2006. Patron Self-check kiosks now available from Surpass. New Surpass Self-check integrates with Surpass library automation software to enable patrons to check out their own materials and obtain basic account information independently. The result is that patrons are served more efficiently and library staff have more time to devote to other tasks.


June 1, 2005. Surpass releases Fifth Generation Library Automation Software. Surpass Generation 5 provides powerful new and enhanced features in an easy-to-use, updated interface librarians will love. Though Surpass has always included centralization capabilities, Generation 5 also presents its greatly enhanced centralization product under the new name Surpass Centriva. Centriva is ideal for multi-branch public libraries and for entire school districts wishing to run a single centralized system with web-based catalog access.

2012 Surpass Software Accomplishments Narrative

In 2009 Surpass significantly expanded our hosting service whereby all customer applications reside on our servers and are accessed remotely via the Internet (ASP model). Our support operation also expanded by adding free, live webinars on a variety of topics to our support subscribers.
