DescriptionThe Harvard Depository is Harvard University Library's archival media storage and retrieval facility. The climate-controlled Depository is a critical resource for students, faculty, staff, and researchers across the University. The off-campus facility provides a strictly regulated media preservation environment, precise inventory-tracking controls, efficient online retrieval ordering, and dependable overnight delivery of materials requested from storage. Within this site you will find online forms for requesting HD supplies and services, a User Guide for library depositors that contains full operating requirements and procedures, background and design information for the facility, preservation storage conditions, guidelines on preparing materials for transfer, instructions for retrieving materials from storage, and many other aspects of the Depository's operation.
