| Description | Following several years of planning, we are thrilled to announce the opening of the Library Annex. Just a short distance from campus, the Annex is equipped with state-of-the-art environmental controls set at 55 degrees and 30% relative humidity and high-density shelving, allowing for the safe, secure storage of some 200,000 volumes. The facility has enabled us to reunite collection materials in Brunswick that were stored offsite in various locations over the past 15 years, including in Connecticut and at Colby College. It will also support the library’s growing collections and help address preservation needs for fragile formats, such as acidic newsprint and older AV materials. | |
