March 2013. Talis has announced that Anglia Ruskin University has become the latest university to select Talis Aspire.
Nicky Kershaw, University Librarian at Anglia Ruskin commented: "The University Library had been working hard to raise the profile of reading lists at Anglia Ruskin, particularly in the light of feedback from the National Student Survey and the quality of the student experience. Having talked to other libraries, it soon became clear that the purchase of Talis Aspire was the way to move this work forward and to engage academic staff in the creation of more dynamic and up to date reading lists. It was also important to us that we chose something that was fully proven and tested with a large customer base."
Anglia Ruskin University was awarded University status in 1992. Today, with a student population of 31,000, it is one of the largest universities in the East of England. Main campuses are at Cambridge and Chelmsford which attract students not only from the East of England but in increasing numbers from mainland Europe and from further afield. In addition, the University has an extensive network of contacts with institutions throughout the world, delivering courses in countries as far removed as Malaysia and Trinidad.
