The major project to provide an integrated OPAC with Dublin City University was officially launched last year as part of a successful installation of the Talis Library Management System.
A fully translated version of the UK's only Irish Language OPAC is providing full Web search facilities in both English and Irish for students at St Patricks College, Drumcondra, part of the university.
This is the first time the college library will have had access to an automated library system and the first time readers will have access to over 300,000 book references.
"It is the first OPAC available in Irish on the Internet, and we are very proud of this fact." comments Orla Nic Aodha from St Patricks College. "There is huge excitement in the college and a very positive response to it in Ireland as a whole."
As a European market leader, Talis has a reputation for being a mature and professional organisation, in tune with its customers, transforming libraries into information centres of excellence.
