DES PLAINES, IL. – May 13, 2002: Endeavor Information Systems, London, UK, announced the recent addition of several new staff to provide supplementary support to Endeavor's extensive European customer base. They will also further introduce the Voyager integrated library management system and ENCompass digital systems for managing, searching and linking collections into European libraries.
Julie Wright joins Endeavor in the role of Customer Support Manager for Europe. Wright holds responsibility for overall customer relationship management, while all actual support issues and calls will continue to be handled by Endeavor's Des Plaines (USA) Customer Support department. Her primary responsibility is guiding the implementation process for new European customers.
"My main focus is to maintain regular communication with European customers in order to review their needs and represent them to Endeavor," stated Wright. "I also look forward to assisting our European customers in the expansion of their Voyager systems through extension modules, as well as introducing them to the ENCompass Solutions for the digital library. I am thrilled to be a part of the Endeavor team. Joining such a leader in the digital library initiative is tremendously exciting!"
Wright comes to Endeavor from epixtech Australia where she was the Manager of the Customer Management team. In charge of data migration and a number of implementations around the Pacific Rim, she managed customer support teams that achieved high marks for satisfaction and service.
Nick Phipps joins Endeavor as European Account Manager. Phipps manages sales activities for prospective Voyager and ENCompass institutions throughout Europe.
"I look forward to working with libraries as they investigate solutions that will allow them to fully realize the potential of the digital library initiative. Introducing them to Endeavor's industry-leading Voyager and ENCompass systems will be particularly rewarding," said Phipps. "I've always been impressed by Endeavor's commercial success and growth. The more I understood Endeavor's advanced architecture and development strategy, particularly with regard to ENCompass, deciding to join was easy."
Phipps comes to Endeavor from Sirsi where he spent more than five years as the Senior Account Manager, achieving an impressive track-record working with libraries in both the academic and public sectors. He had primary responsibility for introducing Sirsi's digital media archive sub-system into Europe.
Jane Dance joins Endeavor as European Regional Training Consultant. In her role, Dance plans and conducts training on all modules of all Endeavor systems. Dance will also provide consulting support on such issues as workflow as well as ongoing training for European customers, maximizing their use of Voyager and the Voyager extension modules including Interlibrary Loan, Universal Borrowing and Citation Server with LinkFinder.
"I am thrilled by the opportunity to use my skills and love of training to help Endeavor users fully explore the functionality of their Voyager system and related extension modules," stated Dance.
