DES PLAINES, ILLINOIS, May 8, 2002: Endeavor Information Systems debuted a completely redesigned customer website today, enriched for specific customers of the Voyager integrated library management system, the ENCompass digital management system and the LinkFinderPlus open linking system. Endeavor's SupportWeb has been in place for over three years; the redesign gives customers enhanced and secure access to maximize use of their Endeavor systems.
Essentially three websites in one, SupportWeb gives Voyager, ENCompass and LinkFinderPlus users a dependable resource for information that libraries need:
- full, downloadable documentation
- implementation details
- new service offerings
- online incident submission
- FAQs on processes and techniques
- current software patches
- planning structures for new releases
"SupportWeb makes it easy for customers to access information about their Endeavor systems. The intuitive redesign puts all of our information at a customer's fingertips," commented Keeley H. Sorokti, Endeavor Manager of Customer Support. "For our government libraries, we've provided HTTP downloads to ensure they can access key information. Best of all, we employ our own Voyager 2001.1 OPAC and cataloging structures to manage the redesigned Knowledge Base, which provides a searchable framework for all information customers would want to find."
"Not only is there a wealth of information directly from Endeavor, but we've also expanded the area for our customers to contribute their own solutions, workflow ideas and training techniques. Because Endeavor has a creative and generous customer base, SupportWeb's ‘Resource Sharing' area gives our users a forum to share their creative solutions for going above & beyond Voyager," said Michele Arms, Endeavor Customer Liaison. "The activity on the ‘‘Resource Sharing' section is such a compliment to the design of Endeavor's systems. Endeavor has designed open, RDMS-based and accessible library technologies in Voyager, ENCompass, and LinkFinderPlus. Endeavor customers find our systems easy to implement and flexible so that they can handle library-specific customizations."
"With extensive tutorials and technical information from Endeavor's Customer Support department, plus the contributions of the librarians and technical staff using Endeavor's systems all over the world, SupportWeb gives everyone the opportunity to really take full advantage of their library systems. This allows all libraries to share in the technical expertise of other libraries," explained Linda Voyles, Customer Relations Manager. "SupportWeb is a testament to the positives of being a Voyager customer. SupportWeb helps all Endeavor customers maximize their productivity and use of Endeavor's open design."
