May 3, 2002 - Chicago, Illinois. Ex Libris (USA) is pleased to announce that our sales force continues to grow in stature with a recent promotion and staff additions. With these changes, Ex Libris (USA) continues to offer the highest level of service and support to the information services field.

Martha Gettys has moved into the position of Vice President of Sales. Ms. Gettys was previously a Senior Sales Executive at Ex Libris, where she has demonstrated great success. Prior to Ex Libris, Martha has had a long career with the business side of library automation, having worked with a variety of systems, such as Ameritech Library Systems (now epixtech) and (prior to that) Innovative Interfaces. Before joining Innovative Interfaces, Martha worked at the library at Duke University. "I'm really looking forward to bringing my diverse experience with libraries and library automation to the benefit of our customers and prospects" said Martha "My skills will mean being able to help our sales team fully nderstand the needs of the customer and to propose forward thinking solutions that will benefit them."

Dave Stout joins as a SFX and Metalib account representative, responsible for the territory West of the Mississippi, plus Canada. Dave Stout previously worked at ProQuest, which, he says, uniquely qualifies him to serve as a SFX/MetaLib Representative. "My experience with a content provider uniquely positions me to understand many of the issues facing libraries regarding their digital collections. I can represent Ex Libris (USA) with a thorough understanding of their needs and our abilities."

Anne Harris comes to Ex Libris (USA) as the Sales Executive for the Western Region. Earning a Masters of Library Science from the University of Maryland, she went on to build a diverse career in the library industry, working for both vendors and libraries alike. Ms. Harris has worked for IHS, the worlds largest publisher of technical databases and, prior to that, worked in jobs as a Library Director and Automation Coordinator. She also spent time at Innovative Interfaces as a trainer and CLSI as an installation Consultant. Her diverse experiences certify that

she is able to propose the best solution for Libraries.

Jan Sheppard has taken on the position of Sales Executive for the Eastern Region. Ms. Sheppard has held positions at epixtech, where she had a long and successful career performing support, implementations and sales. In previous positions, she has been a Library Director, Head of Cataloging and worked for SOLINET. She has earned a Masters in Librarianship from the University of South Carolina. With a wide-reaching knowledge base, she can propose a system which will serve the diverse needs of libraries today.

President of Ex Libris USA, Carl Grant, said "These individuals represent Ex Libris to libraries and information centers that are both customers and those considering becoming customers. As such, it is with great pride that we announce this promotion and additions. All of them are an accurate portrayal of what Ex Libris is all about -- professionals that listen, understand and respond with the right solution or partnership to address customers needs today and well into the future."
