INWOOD, WV, March 11, 2002 The Library Corporation (TLC) today announced that the Park City Library, located in Park City, Utah, will upgrade their current DRA TAOS automation system to TLC's flagship library automation system, Library.Solution.
The new automation system from TLC will provide up-to-date information and reporting, a fully customizable Web interface, integration of electronic resources including files, images and documents and deliver global change capabilities. Installation is scheduled to begin in April 2002.
A number of former DRA libraries have chosen to migrate to Library.Solution, including Hillside Public Library, NJ; Oconee County Public Library, SC; Corvallis-Benton Public Library, OR.; and Stevens County, WA. TLC's solutions are backed by outstanding support, require little maintenance, and offer comprehensive functionality. These libraries and many others have found that Library•Solution offers a reliable upgrade path from second generation systems.
Commenting on today's announcement, Linda Tillson, Library Director at Park City Library stated, “It is particularly important for our automation system to have the power to provide extensive reporting and an intuitive catalogwithout the need for a new tech team. TLC's philosophy of ‘you be the library, we'll be the tech staff' was a good fit for the Park City Library. Their outstanding customer service, combined with a customized solution, will provide a wealth of resources to advance and expand our circulation.”
Also commenting today was Annette Bakhtiar, President and CEO at TLC, who noted, “Powerful library automation should be seamless to both librarian and patron alike. At TLC, we are dedicated to enhancing the library experience for all users and ever mindful that by developing easier access to library resources, we can help extend the physical presence and benefits of the library directly into the community and beyond. That is why I believe Library.Solution has been so enthusiastically embraced worldwide by libraries of all types and sizes. We are pleased that Park City Library has turned to TLC and welcome them into our family.”
