Abstract: The Board of Directors of BiblioMondo Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Ian M. Ferguson as President and Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.


Montreal - December 19th, 2001 - The Board of Directors of BiblioMondo Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Ian M. Ferguson as President and Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.

Mr. Ferguson joins the firm with more than 25 years experience in senior management in both advanced and start-up technology companies in the high-tech industry. After a successful career at Digital Equipment Corporation where he held several executive positions in Canada and in the United States, Mr. Ferguson took over Milkyway Networks Corp.(TSE:MKY-Internet Security S/W) as President post IPO until its acquisition in 1998. More recently, Mr. Ferguson was President and CEO of Mainsource Software a young Enterprise Software company in Ottawa.

The company is currently closing a record year for sales. "It is a pleasure to take over a firm with such a firm footing in the marketplace. I look forward to bringing BiblioMondo to its next phase."

BiblioMondo develops leadership library automation software for both commercial customers and public libraries. The firm provides massively scalable networking software for the worlds' most advanced multi-media libraries (audio, video, digital works of art) and access to their vast content via the Internet or Corporate Intranet. With offices in London, Paris, Cologne, Amsterdam, Boston and Montreal the firm services 1400+ clients in 9 countries and provides 19 million users access to some of the best content in the world.

In North America, BiblioMondo's major clients include America OnLine Inc., the Supreme Court of Canada, Hydro-Québec and the Bibliothèque Nationale du Québec. In Europe, major customers include the Bibliothèque municipale de Lyon (France), the City of Hamburg (Germany), Hertfordshire (UK) and ProBiblio (The Netherlands) - the world's largest library network.
