(Westborough , MA)---Geac Computers, Inc. welcomes Kathleen T. (Kate) Noerr as Director of Sales and Marketing.
Noerr brings over 30 years of extensive leadership and management experience in sales, marketing, and public relations in the library information market. Noerr was founder/owner of Information Management and Engineering Ltd. (IME), where she successfully established IME as a global leader in library automation operations. She served as Managing Director and was appointed CEO in 1990.
In 1996, Noerr headed the sale of IME to Dawson Holdings PLC through Data Trek, Inc., a Dawson subsidiary. IME and Data Trek later merged to form EOS International, where Noerr was named Strategic Business Director and President of the International Division.
Marcel Bernard, Geac Corporate VP and Acting General Manager of the Library Division, expressed enthusiasm about the addition of Noerr to the Geac team. "We are all excited about Kate joining Geac. Her proven accomplishments in sales, public relations, and territory development in the library automation market will be beneficial in expanding Geac's customer base and increasing visibility in the marketplace."
Geac's Sales Division will be headquartered in Schaumburg, Illinois. The Marketing Division will remain in the Headquarters Office in Westborough, Massachusetts.
