Ex Libris (USA) is pleased to announce that several of our key staff members have recently received promotions. Over the past few months we have hired a number of new personnel within all areas of the company, and as a direct result of this growth there have been a number of promotions within the organization.
Ron Passmore has become the Director of Marketing/Business Manager. In this new position, Ron assumes responsibility for all marketing functions, including trade shows, collateral material, advertising, and product pricing within North America, and coordinating marketing efforts with other international divisions of Ex Libris. As Business Manager, Ron is responsible for negotiating contracts and working with all third party partners, as well as monitoring all financial aspects of Ex Libris (USA) such as company budgets, invoicing, payables, and receivables.
Susan Buchanan has become a Senior Account Executive. Susan has been instrumental in helping Ex Libris (USA) get off to a great start this year by coordinating and conducting several important strategic sales to customers such as the Minnesota Library Information Network (MnLINK), University of California, Santa Barbara, and the California Digital Library (CDL).
Marie Erdman is becoming the Manager of ALEPH Development for Implementations. This is a new role, and Marie will have a transition period while she continues to manage her existing implementation projects and staff. In her new role, Marie will be responsible for coordinating specification development, tracking development work to ensure they are delivered on time and will coordinate North American and Israel staff in doing these tasks.
Marlene Harris is becoming the Manager of Implementations. Marlene will be reporting directly to Carl Grant in this role and will continue to supervise the staff she has currently reporting to her. Long term, Marlene will become responsible for all implementations.
