The world of Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery continues to expand in the peer to peer arena. We at Pigasus Software, Inc. are very happy to be on the leading edge of this revolution in how libraries communicate. Standards based communication has been gaining steam for years, and now is being widely adopted as a fast, easy, and effective way to exchange messages with your trading partners.
Clearly, this is no longer a conversation about the future, because the time is now for adding choice into your workflow.
Along with production level use with OCLC, I am pleased to be able to share more good news with you. In the last week or so, Pigasus Software, Inc. has completed IPIG Interoperability Testing between the WINGS(tm) System and
- RLG's RLIN ISO ILL Gateway
- RLG's ILL Manager
- National Library of Canada's Navis system
In plain English, this means that the WINGS(tm) System has successfully exchanged all of the ISO 10161 APDUs which each of these other systems are capable of sending and/or receiving. Testing is in progress with others as well, and the list continues to grow of providers and vendors who realize the incredible benefits to standards based communication. The WINGS(tm) System debuted in June of 1998 as a pioneer in the use of ISO 10161.
WINGS(tm) Systems combine the power of choice and flexibility with the convenience of using a single user interface to handle ALL of your Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery needs. The speed of change in this market requires a company whose total focus is on servicing the needs of Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery practitioners. At Pigasus Software, Inc. we remain committed to providing only the best software solutions designed to make your job easier and more effective.
