Ex Libris (USA) announced today its 2001 plans for the continued expansion of staff resources within its North American offices.
The announced plan will result in a 50% increase in staff, building upon the successful expansion that took place during 2000. Ex Libris more than doubled its complement of staff in North America during 2000 and also opened a new office located in Boston. The plan calls for a balanced approach to resource allocation within all departments of the company, based upon our strong sales and growth throughout North America.
"The success of ALEPH 500 combined with the market embracing new technologies such as SFX, MetaLib, and DigiTooLibrary has resulted in North American sales more than doubling in 2000" said Carl Grant, President of Ex Libris (USA) "Our approach of a collaborative partnership with our customers goes far beyond system enhancements. We believe to be successful you must have a balanced approach to resource allocation, taking into account all aspects of the business: Support, Implementation Services, Sales and Development. The smooth implementation of functionally rich products, backed by exceptional customer support is the corner stone of our expansion plan."
"Our long term corporate plan has always been based on the premise that Ex Libris (USA) should be a self sufficient operation," said Ehud Arad, President of Ex Libris, Ltd. "the 2001 plan grows and strengthens that capability while ensuring that the needs of the rapidly growing customer base are addressed. Furthermore, the plan substantially enhances the role that Ex Libris (USA) is taking in our global Research and Development efforts and will allow the company to work very closely with those North American customers actively interested in helping to develop leading edge technology. The desired result is to continue our role as an independent software company, exclusively focused on the development of progressive, state of the art information management systems.
A leading international supplier of information management systems, Ex Libris is growing rapidly and seeks to fill a number of positions during the first quarter of 2001. Open positions are updated regularly and can be viewed in more detail from our web site at www.exlibris-usa.com.
