King County Library System begins catalog enrichment with Syndetic Solutions

Abstract: The King County Library System has contracted with Syndetic Solutions, Inc. to supply enhanced bibliographic information for the KCLS library catalog.


The King County Library System (www.kcls.org) has contracted with Syndetic Solutions, Inc. (www.syndedcs.com) to supply enhanced bibliographic information for the KCLS library catalog.

KCLS is the third largest circulating library in the United States. Located in the Seattle area, the Library System includes 40 libraries, and a Traveling Library Center which serves over one million residents.

Syndetic Solutions has over 1,200,000 catalog enhancement data elements available to libraries, including enhanced fiction descriptors, tables of contents, summaries, annotations, author notes, cover images and reviews. KCLS has opted to receive a complete package of catalog enrichment. Enrichment is expected to be completed by early September.
