Syracuse, NY (November 10, 2000) - Gaylord Information Systems (GIS) has announced that Marty Keeley will join the organization as Vice President, Marketing and Sales, effective November 16, 2000. In his new role, Keeley will manage Marketing, Sales and the Proposals and Contracts Departments.
Keeley brings to GIS a strong background in Marketing and Sales in the information industry. He has held executive management positions at both Ingram Book Group and at Baker & Taylor Books. In announcing Keeley's appointment, Katherine Blauer, GIS President, emphasized his strong focus on developing and maintaining relationships with libraries. "Marty Keeley brings to GIS a solid background in the library industry, a wealth of experience in strategic planning, a track record of close and successful customer relations, and excellent industry relationships," Blauer said. Keeley's position was created as a result of some restructuring within the GIS organization to combine the areas of marketing and sales to better serve customers and prospective customers.
