According to Nichols President Bruce Butler, "With Facts On File, our customers -- and their library users -. can now expand their on-line access beyond their local catalogs. Furthermore, they can benefit from Athena the same day their software arrives."
Athena subscribers to Facts On File receive a one-year indexed backfile. Updates arrive the first week of each month. A separate "collection" for Facts On File in the Athena system makes updating quick and easy.
Athena users search Facts On File with the same bold graphical interface used for their local catalog. An unlimited number of users can access the data at a single site. Loading the database directly onto a hard drive provides fast access.
A year's subscription to Facts On File for Athena costs $695.
