Nichols Advanced Technologies Inc. of La Crosse, Wisconsin and Innotech Inc. of Toronto, Ontario announce today the signing of an agreement for joint development for CD-ROM based library applications.
Nichols Advanced Technologies Inc. is the developer of MOLLI -- an easy-to-use on-line catalog and circulation system. MOLLI is in use in approximately 1,200 libraries worldwide.
Innotech Inc. is the developer of the FindIT CD-ROM retrieval system used for large text, image and multi media applications. Innotech also produces custom CD-ROM applications, including the forthcoming multi media version of the Canadian Encyclopedia.
‘This agreement enables us to provide solutions for large catalog applications including union catalogs for large school districts already using MOLLI,' said Bruce Butler, President of Nichols Advanced Technologies Inc.
"FindIT is well suited to libraries," noted Philip Wong, President of Innotech Inc., "as it is both intuitive and very fast. With this agreement, we will be able to offer our CD-ROM customers a local updateable catalog as well."
