Minneapolis, MN. September 18, 2000. The Board of Directors of Sagebrush Corporation, a solutions provider for the library and education markets, announced that Jay Stead has resigned his position as CEO of Sagebrush Corporation effective Monday September 18th. Jay has left to pursue other opportunities.
Jim Zicarelli, Chairman of the Board of Directors, will be acting CEO until a permanent replacement is hired. Jim has been Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sagebrush Corporation since 1995 and was President and CEO from 1995 to 1998. Jim is Chairman of Rotherwood Corporation, the company that owns 85% of Sagebrush. He has been involved in education-based organizations for 25 years, including NCS, Econo-Clad, and Catalogue Card Company.
Jim was also President of a statewide educational scoring company competing with NCS. Jim was involved in the original acquisition of Catalogue Card Company, now Sagebrush Library Services, from NCS. He also completed the merger of the American Companies into Sagebrush in 1998 and orchestrated the Nichols acquisition in 1998.
