Abstract: Innovative Interfaces, Inc. announced the appointment of Carl Grant as Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

Emeryville, CA, April 1, 1997. Innovative Interfaces, Inc. announced today the appointment of Carl Grant as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. In making the announcement, Gerald Kline, President and CEO said, "We're extremely excited about Carl joining Innovative's staff because of the further depth and experience he brings to Innovative's management team. Carl is well known and respected in the library automation industry as a forward thinking librarian with a strong customer focus."

Mr. Grant, who received his MLS from the University of Missouri at Columbia and has 27 years of experience, worked 13 years for the St. Louis County Library System. In addition to that he worked for 14 years for another smaller library automation vendor, DRA. Kline further remarked that "the overwhelming majority of our senior management team have degrees in Library Science which really distinguishes Innovative from competitive offerings. We consider this critical to understanding customer needs and supplying superior products and services. The addition of Carl to Innovative's team underscores our continued commitment to the profession at large and the marketplace in particular."

Grant indicated "that this is an exciting time to be joining Innovative Interfaces because of the roll out of the new INNOPAC Millennium product. This product is going to revolutionize the way libraries do business, extend the range of users libraries can serve and will allow the entrepreneurial spirit of both Innovative and their customers to be fully realized. I'm delighted that I'll be working with, and reporting to, Bob Walton, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and also working closely with company founders Gerald Kline and Steve Silberstein in achieving those goals."
