PROVO, UTAH. epixtech, inc., the Utah-based company that is the leader in library automation, serving over 7,600 libraries worldwide, has announced changes in its development and marketing leadership aimed at increasing marketing efforts, assisting in smoother automation upgrades and enabling more rapid technological advances with both core and add-on products.
Marty McNeela, the current Director of Software Engineering, has accepted the position of Vice President – Core Technologies. Marty's organization will have global responsibility for delivery of epixtech's core products. His team will focus on enriching the current product lines and delivery of core products for the future. These products include epixtech's patron products (iPAC, WebPAC and RPA), Library Automation Products (Horizon Sunrise, Dynix, and NOTIS), and interlibrary loan (ILL) products (RSS and URSA).

Rob Walton has been named the new Director of Marketing for epixtech. Rob, who comes to epixtech with two decades background in marketing, has most recently been the Director of Operations for the Microsoft Office User Specialist program. At epixtech he will be charged with overseeing all aspects of marketing, including product management, trade shows, market research, public relations and communications, advertising and Web design. The recent inclusion of the Product Management team within the Marketing Department will ensure that new products and releases fill the needs of both new customers as well as customers who have been users of epixtech's systems for many years.
Kate Noerr, who has served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing, has left epixtech, and Lana Porter, President and CEO of epixtech, will be assuming responsibility for sales and marketing efforts until a new Vice President of Sales and Marketing is selected.
