Abstract: This report outlines a simple, near-term solution to the universal academic problem of off-campus access to on-campus Web-based resources. This solution costs little, requires no special client software, works with a variety of authentication methods, allows fine-grained control over what services can be accessed, and offers both reasonable security and speed.
