Follett Software Company automation consultant Elizabeth Friedrichs Bruns dies

McHenry, IL -- May 15, 1995 -- Elizabeth Friedrichs Bruns, president of Bruns Educational Media and an automation consultant for Follett Software Company, died April 15, 1995 of cancer at Pendleton Memorial Methodist Hospital at the age of 66.

An outstanding member of the Follett team for more than 10 years, Liz was dedicated to serving the customers in her territories in planning and implementing library automation. She was characterized by her many friends and respectful colleagues as thoughtful, kind, strong, cooperative, and humorous.

Liz was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. She graduated from the Academy of the Sacred Heart. She received the Sister Mary Aquin Lorio Memorial Award for Outstanding Service to Catholic school libraries, and was a member of the Catholic School Library Association and the Louisiana Library Association. Survivors include her husband, Joseph Supple Bruns; three sons, Joseph Jr. and Andrew Bruns of New Orleans, and Harry B runs of Little Rock, Arkansas; four daughters, Catherine Robichaux of Bound Brook, New Jersey, Jennie Phillips of New Orleans, Mary St. Pierre of Baton Rouge, and Anna Bruns-Heck of Oxford, Mississippi; a brother, Christopher Friedrichs; three sisters, Anne Flotte, Jane Dupre, and Nell Bergen; and eleven grandchildren.

Memorial contributions can be made in Liz's name to either the American Cancer Society or to A Child's Wish, 3850 North Causeway Boulevard, Metairie, Louisiana, 70002.
