BURNSVILLE, MN February 3, 2000 - In an announcement today, Eric R. Johnson was appointed as Senior Vice President of Sales and Field Operations at Sagebrush Corporation - a leading provider of information resource management solutions for the K-12 market.
Sagebrush offers a wide array of solutions to the education market including Econo-Clad Books, the Athena and Winnebago Spectrum library automation systems, and cataloging services. In this newly created position, Johnson will oversee sales and training operations for the entire company and will develop and direct sales initiatives that allow Sagebrush to continue its pattern of profitable growth.
Johnson joins Sagebrush after 15 years with Apple Computer Inc. (AAPL), with 10 of those years spent focusing on education technology. Most recently, he was a Region Manger for Apple's Education division where he was responsible for over $110 million in business for the company. In addition, Johnson was a member of a task force responsible for designing the Apple Education Sales Consultant Program. Johnson holds his BA degree in Political Science, American Studies from St. Olaf College and his MBA from the University of St. Thomas.
