McHENRY, ILLINOIS -- June 24, 1994 -- Follett Software Company now offers Modem Support to all of its 800 Telephone Support subscribers. Modem Support provides customers the ability to have a Follett Technical Support Analyst connect to their system using a dial-up modem and communications software package. While connected to the customer's system, the Support Analyst will assess the customer's problem and affect repairs or guide the customer through the steps necessary to make the repairs themselves (using a voice line connection or the on-line chat mode available within the communications software package).
Initial start up for Follett's 800 Telephone Modem Support is $300.00 per site, which includes the dial up modem, the communications software package, a one-year subscription to Modem Support service and scheduled installation assistance via Follett's 800 Telephone Support line. Subscription renewal is available after the first year at a cost of $25.00 per site per year. This renewal will coincide with the renewal of the customer's 800 Telephone Support subscription renewal and will be pro-rated and aligned with the annual renewal of the customer's other support subscriptions. All calls placed to customer systems by Follett's Technical Support staff will be placed from Follett Software Company's Technical Support Center at no cost to customers.
