DUBLIN, Ohio, Feb. 24, 1998 - Information Dimensions, Inc., a leading provider of web-enabled knowledge center solutions, and Centillion Digital Systems, Inc. have signed an agreement under which Information Dimensions will distribute and support Centillion's Destiny. software - a high performance system for managing and archiving digital assets.

Destiny uses Information Dimension's BASIS document management system as its search engine and database. BASIS, according to industry analyst IDC, is the most widely used document management system in the world.

The Destiny digital asset management software solution provides remote and on-site users the ability to electronically collaborate, organize, access and distribute electronic image files using standard browsers via the Internet or client/server technology. Destiny is used in a variety of industries, including pharmaceuticals, property management, and food, greeting card and tool manufacturing.

Stephen J. Recobs, Centillion senior vice president and general manager, says Centillion Digital selected the BASIS database for Destiny in 1997 because of its highly powerful free text search capability and scalability.

"Since we are already knowledgeable about each other's technologies, this is a logical next step for us," he adds. "We believe this will be an excellent partnership."

William Forquer, Information Dimensions president, agrees. "Our customers are being challenged to manage a broader range of digital assets. Destiny has incorporated the best of BASIS' unique search and archiving capabilities into a pre-packaged multimedia archival and retrieval system for digital images, text and other objects used regularly by marketing communications professionals."

Under the terms of the agreement, Information Dimensions is authorized to distribute Destiny, which enables customers to access images immediately from anywhere in the world. The Destiny application helps eliminate the need to re-shoot photos or re-create images because digital files have been archived. In addition, the system helps customers reduce reliance on redundant four-color separations and expensive shipping charges.
