Ex Libris (USA) is pleased to announce that Jenny Walker has joined the company as Director of Sales and Marketing for their newly created Information Services Division. The Information Services Division will focus its initial efforts on the further development and deployment of the SFX linking technology. SFX provides context-sensitive linking for the scholarly research community and, as announced earlier this month, Ex Libris has acquired it from the University of Gent in Belgium. Jenny Walker joins Ex Libris from SilverPlatter Information in London where as Director of Technology Product Management, she was responsible for the product management and marketing of the SilverPlatter suite of technology products. She was closely involved in the launch of SilverLinker, SilverPlatter's innovative solution for linking to the full content whether held in print or electronic form, held locally or remotely. Prior to joining SilverPlatter, Jenny worked internationally in the field of library automation in a variety of roles spanning Customer Services, Development, Sales and Marketing. While at SilverPlatter, Jenny built on her library automation experience, developing and strengthening relationships with many of the leading library automation suppliers to ensure integration between SilverPlatter's ERL systems and other information resources and services.
