October 27, 1997. VARBusiness magazine has ranked Innovative Interfaces 206th in its annual list of the top 500 VARs/integrators in North America. The list, published in VARBusiness, places Innovative in fellowship with solutions companies such as IBM Global, EDS Corp., and Digital Equipment Corp.
VARBusiness magazine analyzes key product, technology, and business trends to help readers succeed in selling computer solutions. To qualify for the top 500 VARs, Innovative went through an in-depth screening process, supplying information about their company such as annual revenue, the technologies they sell, the markets they target, and the libraries working with their automation systems.
"We are honored to be the highest-ranked company providing solutions exclusively to libraries," said Jerry Kline, President of Innovative Interfaces. "Our commitment to focusing on libraries has proven to be an excellent strategy, but it is gratifying to see how well we rate when Innovative is listed among general solution providers, as we are in the VARBusiness 500."
Innovative has recently announced INNOPAC Millennium ; a system that continues to support the existing INNOPAC interfaces, and will offer new, Java™-based interfaces and applications. Millennium supports thin-client technology via Web browsers or through the use of network computers. Innovative's management reports were the first products delivered that implemented Java applets in library automation. The rest of the system will also be made available via the browser, as the technology evolves. This will allow Innovative to provide product enhancements or new software for its libraries without administering local configuration files or software applications.
