The Professional Series Version 2.1 is planned for release in the fourth quarter, 1994 and is free to Professional Series clients with active Software Support Subscriptions.
Over 150 enhancements will be added to the Professional Series Version 2.1, directly based on the ideas, comments and suggestions from Data Trek, Inc. clients. Many of the top enhancements were voted on by Professional Series clients in a survey published in Data Trek's bi-monthly technical newsletter for clients.

Professional Series, first released in 1991, is a user-friendly, microcomputer-based automation software package designed to meet the latest library automation standards. It strictly adheres to full MARC standards, as well as X12, SISAC and BISAC standards. Professional Series imports, exports, stores and edits full MARC records.
Professional Series Version 2.1 enhancements are provided for Cataloging, Circulation, Serials, Acquisitions, OPAC (Online Public Access Catalog), and (3oPAC (Graphical OPAC) modules.
Major new global features include library-specified system management of call number spacing, European or other date format options, additional user authorization levels, multi-copy picklists for multiple items connected to the bibliographic records, automatic deletion approval control in the Bibliographic file, laser printing of all Cataloging labels, improved label printing capability, and much morn.
