Huntsville, Alabama - SIRSI Corporation is pleased to announce that its Unicorn Collection Management System will be installed at Oakwood College's Eva B. Dykes Library.
In addition to the bibliographic and inventory control module, the library has licensed the authority control, circulation control, and enhanced public access modules. The system will be installed on an IBM RISC System/6000 Model 220 host computer. The college hopes to establish a campus-wide network to make Unicorn available to their departments, education labs, and learning centers.
According to Dr. Jannith Lewis, Director, Unicorn was chosen after an extensive search of the library automation marketplace. "During our search we noticed that Sirsi is very well recognized in library literature. The Unicorn public access catalog is very user-friendly, and we were pleased with the services offered by Sirsi, such as technical support."
