St. Louis, MO, September 23, 1998 -- Data Research Associates, Inc. (DRA) today announced that National University has selected DRA's next-generation Taos system. National University -- a multi-campus university system with its main branch in San Diego and campuses in Los Angeles, Fresno, Riverside, Orange County, San Jose and Vista -- has been recognized for four consecutive years by U.S. News and World Report as one of America's best colleges and universities.

Currently a NOTIS automation site, National University serves a student body of more than 8,000. According to Library Director Anne Marie Secord, "My mission is to create new models for the National University Library System that position us in the digital age as the information and knowledge center of choice for our internal and external customers. We needed a technological solution that would support the organization of information in all formats and access to it for all our users remotely and at geographically dispersed campuses and learning centers via distance education technology."
