MONTREAL, CANADA - April 23, 1999 - As a result of a Québec-government initiative to upgrade all of its municipal libraries to have Internet access and the latest in library high-technology, seven additional Quebec municipal libraries have chosen Best-Seller's web-based PortFolio software.
The municipal libraries of Beauport, Lévis, l'Ancienne-Lorette, St-Augustin, St-Jean Chrysostome, Charlesbourg and Sillery shall all integrate their collections and make them available to other libraries via the Internet. With Best-Seller's PortFolio software, users will be able to query any library worldwide.
Todd A. Joron, President & CEO reports « These libraries selected Best-Seller due to our web-based PortFolio product and our adherence to international standards. We were able to respond immediately to their request with an off-the-shelf software solution that was designed specifically for libraries wanting to communicate with other sites via the Internet. »
Best-Seller estimates completing these projects by the end of 1999.
