Jackson, MS April 29, 1998 — Jackson Public School District of Jackson, Mississippi chose to automate their libraries with Alexandria for Windows™ after extensive comparison to other popular library automation systems. The district found Alexandria for Windows to be the best solution for quality round-the-clock technical support and ease of use.

Forty-three media specialists from the 57 schools that make up the Jackson Public School District formed a committee to formally review the top four school library systems for the Windows' platform. The committee spent over a year planning for the evaluation process prior to sending out RFPs and invitations for vendors to present software.

"Thirty-seven of the 43 media specialists ranked Alexandria for Windows as their number one choice in ease of use," said James Mason, District Technology Specialist. "Alexandria for Windows was by far the easiest to use, offering the most comprehensive features and had the best reputation for technical support."

The committee evaluated the products by ranking and scoring the overall systems with a voting score between 1 - 4 -- 1 being the best. Alexandria for Windows received the top score with a 1.2. The other vendors received scores between 2.5 and 3.1.
