SALT LAKE CITY, UT, August 25, 1999. COMPanion Corporation recently announced that Alexandria, COMPanion's school library automation system, is approved by the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) as one of six vendors to meet the criteria needed for approved status.

The LAUSD requires that vendors meet select criteria, such as secure data uploading, flexible call number display, and several sort options. Alexandria meets all of the requirements, plus the system offers Internet, multi-media, and cross-platform options.
