SALT LAKE CITY, UT, July 22, 1999. COMPanion Corporation, developer of Alexandria library automation systems, announced increased sales and financial growth of more than 40% in the 1998 -'99 fiscal year. Large district purchases and a loyal customer base have contributed to COMPanion's success.
One of the larger district purchases was the San Antonio ISD in San Antonio, Texas. SAISD will automate their 93 schools with the Alexandria library information system before 2000. In addition, the British Columbia Ministry of Education, which supports close to 2000 public and private schools, announced earlier this year the selection of Alexandria as a preferred library automation vendor. Since the announcement, hundreds of B.C. schools have been working with COMPanion to automate their libraries.
Clint Sanderson, National Sales Manager for COMPanion Corporation stated, " Explaining COMPanion's success is simple. We offer exceptional technical support and provide librarians with a superior product."
COMPanion also introduced Alexandria Executive to the Corporate/Special library market during the summer of 1998. Alexandria Executive gives the same power and ease-of-use to corporate, law, medical and academic librarians, with added functionality specific to special libraries.
COMPanion expects continued exponential growth with the release of Alexandria 5, released June 26, 1999.
