Topping the list of DB/TextWorks 3.0 new features is a powerful spell checker with 100,000-word American and British dictionaries which can be customized by users. Other new DB/TextWorks features include an extended character search option, where users may optionally index accented characters as their unaccented equivalents; database administration features, including automatic update processing to save time and reduce network traffic; and a number of additional ease-of-use enhancements designed to save time and keystrokes.

DB/Text WebPublisher 3.0 contains new ease-of-use features along with maintenance and design enhancements. WebPublisher's unique "word wheel" index browsers now include scrollbars, enabling better navigation. Greater flexibility for web designers is reflected in many new features. For example, the designer can now build "see also" links into a WebPublisher report. When the report is displayed, each author's name, to give one example, can be a "jump" to a report containing all other works by the same author. Similarly, entries in a field can become Email targets or URL jumps.
