Kate Noerr to lead international operations at Ameritech Library Services

PROVO, Utah. Ameritech Library Services (ALS) is pleased to announce that Kate Noerr, vice president of marketing and sales, will assume additional responsibility for international operations, effective April 1, 1999.

"At Ameritech Library Services, we are committed to expanding our presence worldwide," said Lana Porter, president of Ameritech Library Services. "Kate understands the diverse needs of global markets, and her international experience in Europe, Asia and Africa will help us build on our past successes and identify new opportunities."

ALS has a strong international presence, with automation systems installed in 34 countries. ALS has offices in Ontario, Canada; Adelaide, Australia; Versailles, France; and Chesham, United Kingdom; and worldwide distributors including Dynix (Deutschland) GmbH in Germany, Macrotec Computacion in Mexico, Arabian Advanced Systems in Saudi Arabia, Efacec in Portugal and Ergodata in Greece. The international offices deliver a full range of services including development, implementation, support and sales.

Noerr has extensive international experience. She founded Information Management and Engineering Ltd. (IME), a library automation company, in 1982 in the United Kingdom, grew it successfully in Europe and then expanded to the United States and Singapore.
