When Phoenix Public Library opened its doors on the morning of April 5, it marked the debut of CARL's Information Management and Delivery System.

The first phase of IMDS development is the Circulation module. IMDS Circulation combines the workflow and flexibility of a graphical interface with the powerful processing of a server-based system. The module features speedy charge and return functions, patron registration functions that allow cloning of records to speed processing of duplicate information, holds and routing, and item maintenance.

One of the Central circulation supervisors told us, “The system was easy to use and in only a few days it feels like we've been using it forever.”
