Microtest, Inc. announces Daniel J. Predovic as chief financial officer

PHOENIX, Arizona, March 11, 1999 - Microtest, Inc. (NASDAQ: MTST) today announced the appointment of Daniel J. Predovic as Chief Financial Officer, effective March 22, 1999. Mr. Predovic will be reporting to Vince Hren, Chief Executive Officer.

In his role as Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Predovic will have the responsibility for all Microtest financial operations, including administrative activities, information systems, and human resources.

Vince Hren, Chief Executive Officer stated, "Microtest's management team will be significantly strengthened by this appointment. Dan's integrity and sound business standards coupled with his excellent track record, broad operating experience and in-depth knowledge of the financial community, will provide us with strong financial leadership going forward."

Mr. Predovic has over 20 years experience with start-up and international publicly held companies. He previously served as Chief Financial Officer at AECX Corporation, a provider of same-day delivery services of large-format construction documents for architects, engineers and contractors via satellite backbone with connections to the Internet. Mr. Predovic was responsible for every aspect of financial management and operations.

Prior to joining AECX he was Chief Financial Officer for a start-up developer of software application systems for higher education, and Syntellect Inc., a publicly held international manufacturer of telecommunication voice response system. He also served as Vice President, Finance for Artisoft, a provider of computer telephony products and networking/communications solutions. Mr. Predovic received a B.S. from Arizona State University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
