Jane Burke named president and CEO of Endeavor Information Systems

ROSEMONT, Illinois. -- March 16, 1995. Endeavor Information Systems Inc., announced today that Jane Burke has been named the company's president and chief executive officer. Well known as a successful executive throughout the library and information services world, Ms. Burke was most recently president of NOTIS Systems, Inc., a position she held for seven years. As president and CEO of Endeavor, Ms. Burke will manage the company's strategic direction and oversee day-to-day operations.

Jane Burke commented, "I look forward to joining Endeavor's outstanding management team. I have known many of the for several years. This group has the experience and commitment to build, deliver, and support the next generation of high performance automated library management systems for academic and research libraries. In a very short time, Endeavor has become a significant participant in this market with its new Voyager system. People will be very pleased with the efficiency and scalability of the Voyager Library Series. We anticipate greater and greater customer satisfaction as we continue to expand its already robust functionality.

Jane Burke is a member of the Executive Committee of the Chicago Software Association. She is a past president of the Exhibits Round Table of the American Library Association and past member of the editorial board of Information Technology and Libraries. Ms. Burke has published in Occasional Papers, American Library Association's Reference and Adult Services Division (RASD), and Library Acquisitions: Practice and Theory.

Endeavor is currently supporting Voyager 2.0, a new release presently being installed at customer sites on three continents. This version supports expanded authority control functionality and second-generation Windows clients for staff patrons.
