Abstract: The process of selecting or designing an Integrated Library System consists of a series of important decisions. Each of the book''s seven chapters details a part of the process, offering advice and both positive and negative experiences from many institutions, as well as comments from commercial and their institutional designers of automated systems. The author consulted with organizations currently in the process of a procurement, and also with developers and commercial suppliers involved in the procurement process.
