Emeryville, CA. Innovative Interfaces, a leading provider of library automation software that empowers libraries globally, has launched Mobile Worklists Release 2.2 to increase staff productivity throughout the library from a mobile device.

With Mobile Worklists Release 2.2, staff are empowered to manage complex collection projects and daily operations with ease. Developed in response to ongoing user feedback, Mobile Worklists streamlines workflows and enhances the materials handling user experience for staff members at all library types.

"A challenge we often hear from our library partners is how to simplify workflows, so staff have more time to engage their communities and campuses," said Leif Pedersen, Executive Vice President, Product at Innovative. "As a cloud-based mobile application with flexible features and an intuitive interface, Mobile Worklists can significantly elevate staff productivity in a variety of ways. From creating new displays or searching for missing items, to more intensive responsibilities, such as library renovations and relocation projects, Mobile Worklists is the application our library partners rely on for collection management."

New features in Mobile Worklists Release 2.2 include the ability to move items between existing lists or to a new list. This provides greater flexibility for managing items, maintaining accurate item records in a collection, and tracking the progress of complex projects anywhere in the library.

For Santa Clara University in California, the adoption of Mobile Worklists has meant faster completion of projects and accelerated access to information in Sierra. "Mobile Worklists has enabled us to create an efficient and eco-friendly process for moving thousands of books from one location to another," said Judy Rodriguez, Course Reserves, Stacks and Paging Supervisor. "By eliminating the use of paper lists, or the need for heavier equipment such as laptops, we can conveniently access our data on a mobile device anywhere in the building. Best of all, Mobile Worklists is easy to use, and training takes only a few minutes."

The launch of Mobile Worklists Release 2.2 marks the third enhancement release in 2016, with greater functionality and staff efficiencies built into each one. A native iOS application, Mobile Worklists is currently available for Sierra library partners.
