Few patrons using Columbus Metropolitan Library's new online system

Abstract: Columbus Metropolitan Libraries in January rolled out an easier, quicker website to borrow books online, review fines and even socialize with other readers. The catch: a required, one-time sign up with BiblioCommons using library credentials and an email address. Since then, about 84,000 cardholders just 16 percent of the system's more than 500,000 cardholders have signed up, surprising some library officials.
