Sasso Marconi, Italy—March 9, 2016. Ex Libris, a ProQuest company, is pleased to announce that Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa (SNS Pisa) is live with the Alma library management service and Primo discovery and delivery solution. SNS di Pisa will benefit from the recently added support in Alma for the UNIMARC cataloguing format.
Dr. Enrico Martellini, library director at SNS Pisa, said: "Scuola Normale Superiore is moving to cloud computing solutions for its services. In addition, one of our goals is to encourage the shift from printed to electronic resources. Alma and Primo are ideally suited to help us to make this transition."
"Together these solutions will enable us to streamline our operations, resulting in more efficient workflows", continued Dr Martellini. "We believe that having one set of tools for all the library's operations will simplify the work of the library staff and will enable us to optimise services for our patrons."
"I am delighted to see Alma live in daily use at Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa," remarked Ofer Mosseri, corporate vice president and general manager of Ex Libris Europe. "We worked closely with the library to refine Alma and Primo to meet the needs of the university. I look forward to seeing more Italian customers go live with both solutions in the near future."
