Abstract: OCLC has been named among Computerworld's Best Places to Work in IT. It is the 10th consecutive year OCLC has been selected as one of the top workplaces for information technology professionals.

DUBLIN, Ohio, 22 June 2015. OCLC, the global library technology service and research organization based in Dublin, Ohio, has been named among Computerworld's Best Places to Work in IT.

It is the 10th consecutive year OCLC has been selected as one of the top workplaces for information technology (IT) professionals. This honor is part of the IT publication's annual Best Places to Work in IT survey, which is published in the June 22 issue of Computerworld and available online at Computerworld.com. OCLC placed at number 26 on the 2015 list, in the Small Companies category (fewer than 2,500 employees).

"It is an honor for OCLC to be included among Computerworld's Best Places to Work in IT for a 10th consecutive year," said Skip Prichard, OCLC President and CEO. "Information technology has changed dramatically over the last 10 years. OCLC's commitment to providing the best technologies to serve the needs of libraries remains the same. That shared commitment, along with the opportunity to work with new and emerging technologies in a supportive work environment, make OCLC a great place to work."

OCLC is a nonprofit, global library cooperative that provides shared technology services, original research and community programs to libraries of all types and sizes. Together, thousands of OCLC member libraries in more than 100 countries support access to the world's collected knowledge. OCLC and its member libraries cooperatively produce and maintain WorldCat, the world's most comprehensive online resource for finding library materials.

Computerworld has posted a brief video about OCLC technology on its website.

The Best Places to Work in Information Technology (IT) list is an annual ranking of the top 100 work environments for technology professionals by IDG's Computerworld. The list is compiled based on a comprehensive questionnaire regarding company offerings in categories such as benefits, career development, training and retention. In addition, Computerworld conducts extensive surveys of IT workers, and their responses factor heavily in determining the rankings.
