Westport, Conn., June 7, 1985. Mecklermedia Corporation (Nasdaq: MECK) announced that it is launching Web Developer magazine. Web Developer will draw upon the resources of organizations in the World-Wide Web business to provide the publication with the latest innovations in the field of Web development including software, hardware, and networking.

Meckler went on to state, "Internet World is the monthly newsstand magazine of choice for the general Internet user, Web Week is the only pure business-to-business controlled circulation newspaper on the market, and now Web Developer should become the magazine of choice for upper level web developers and programmers."
As an essential electronic component, Web Developer will be integrated with timely Web-based news stories that will debut on MecklerWeb's IWORLD (http://www.mecklerweb.com/) Web site during the Web Seminars conference taking place in Dallas, Texas on July 25-26, 1995.
Nancy Nelson, vice president for information and technology at Mecklermedia has been appointed editor-in-chief of Web Developer, and Patricia Lane, MecklerWeb's IWORLD editor-at-large has been appointed senior editor. Bill Washburn, senior vice president of Internet development at Mecklermedia will serve as chairman of the editorial board.
The first issue of Web Developer will debut in the fourth quarter of 1995. The quarterly will carry a $21.00 subscription price and sell for $5.95 on the newsstand.
