Chicago, IL—January 26, 2015. Ex Libris Group, a world leader in the provision of library automation solutions, is pleased to announce Loyola University Chicago has selected Ex Libris Alma for resource management and Ex Libris Primo for resource discovery and delivery. Loyola University is migrating from a number of legacy systems including the Ex Libris Voyager integrated library system.

Robert Seal, Dean of Libraries at Loyola University, Chicago, commented: "Alma and Primo meet our library's need for an up-to-date, forward-looking solution that will serve our staff and users for many years to come. The combined platform, encompassing all our operations and a comprehensive discovery interface for our users, fulfills our requirements as well as offering an active user community comprised of academic and research libraries whose strategic vision most likely aligns with ours."

"The Primo search interface provides an excellent user experience with well-executed search and display features including powerful relevance ranking, customizable search result order, effective known-item searching, useful facets, and flexibility for local configuration," added Mr. Seal. "On the staff side, the Alma interface provides easy navigation within the system, individualized dashboards based on an individual's responsibilities, and many opportunities to customize according to our specific needs or preferences. Many routine tasks are fully automated, enabling our staff to focus on exceptions rather than duplicating tasks."

"I am happy to welcome Loyola University Chicago to the North American Alma and Primo community," remarked Eric Hines, president of Ex Libris North America. "This decision by a leading private institution reflects the support among academic and research libraries for the Ex Libris vision to transform library operations and contribute to the strategic goals of their institutions."
