eBook Leaders Head to Europe for Paris and London Book Fairs

Abstract: eBook companies from around the world are convening this weekend at the Paris Book Fair (Salon de Livre). Paris provides an international setting for the Annual Meeting of the Open eBook Forum, the leading standards body and trade group for the industry. Technology leader OverDrive, Inc. (www.overdrive.com) who helped organize the OEBF Annual meeting, will demonstrate best practices for eBook production, Digital Rights Management (DRM) and eBook inventory management at the Paris events and at the London Book Fair.


PORTE DE VERSAILLES, France--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 15, 2001-- eBook companies from around the world are convening this weekend at the Paris Book Fair (Salon de Livre). Paris provides an international setting for the Annual Meeting of the Open eBook Forum, the leading standards body and trade group for the industry. Technology leader OverDrive, Inc. (www.overdrive.com) who helped organize the OEBF Annual meeting, will demonstrate best practices for eBook production, Digital Rights Management (DRM) and eBook inventory management at the Paris events and at the London Book Fair.

On Sunday, March 18, 2001 at 9:00 am OverDrive CEO Steven Potash will conduct a 2-hour clinic at eBook Europe 2001. He will demonstrate authoring, copyright protection and inventory management of eBook titles in Microsoft Reader and other popular formats. Mr. Potash will share lessons learned from OverDrive's free, web-based eBook authoring site www.ebookexpress.com. The Company will also exhibit at the London Book Fair, March 25-27.

OverDrive was instrumental in the launch of several major US retail eBookstores including www.barnesandnoble.com and www.previewport.com.
