OverDrive to present eBook Solutions at inaugural ePub University

Abstract: Multiple format eBook conversion practices and strategies will be presented by OverDrive ePublishing specialists as part of the inaugural ePub University that will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 31, and Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2000 at the Millennium Hotel -- Broadway in Times Square, New York City in conjunction with ePubExpo.


New York:(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 30, 2000/. Multiple format eBook conversion practices and strategies will be presented by OverDrive ePublishing specialists as part of the inaugural ePub University ( www.epubuniversity.com)that will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 31, and Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2000 at the Millennium Hotel -- Broadway in Times Square, New York City in conjunction with ePubExpo.

The OverDrive presentations will focus on preparing content for multiple eBook formats including PDF, Open eBook (OEB) and Microsoft Reader (.LIT) as well as demonstrations of power tools for authoring content for Microsoft Reader.

"eBook Source Issues -- Preparing Content for Multiple Channels," presented by Karen Snodgrass, Senior Product Manager, will focus on streamlining the conversion process from print book to eBook. Sarah Wood, ReaderWorks Product Manager will introduce publishers to the ReaderWorks suite of tools available for authoring to Microsoft Reader.
