Wednesday January 12, 2011. Three key additions to the Kuali OLE core team joined in December 2010. They report to Brad Skiles, OLE Project Manager.
Rich Slabach, QA manager, joins Kuali OLE as the QA Manager to assist OLE teams in developing acceptance criteria and testing scripts from user stories andfunctional requirements. Plus he will ensure that testing takes place and issues are tracked and resolved. He comes to us from Duke Energy Legal Department where he was the Technology Manager and had over 15 years of professional experience in business analysis and project management.
Kathleen Gerdink, business analyst, joins Kuali OLE as the Business Analyst to assist OLE teams in translating user stories and functional requirements into technical and functional specifications with the developers. She comes to us with Masters degrees in Information and Library Sciences from Indiana University, and nearly 20 years professional experience in marketing, business management and database development. She has led projects in database design, requirements gathering, and business process improvement.
Lydia Reid, data architect, comes to Kuali OLE from the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) and has 16 years of experience in archival and library data standards. While at NARA, she led the development of archival description standards and served as system owner of the Archival Research Catalog (ARC). As a consultant, Lydia evaluated NARA system data models and advised on data migration and mapping strategies between multiple systems. She has served on the International Council on Archives Committee on Descriptive Standards, the Canadian-United States Task Force on Archival Description, and the Society of American Archivists' EAD Working Group. Lydia has an MA in US History from UVA and an MLS from UMD.
Kuali OLE, a partnership of top research libraries, will develop a community source library management system by re-examining library business operations and defining next-generation solutions.
